Where is Spring Lake?
Spring Lake is an artificial lake, located near the headwaters of the San Marcos River in Hays County, Texas (Map 1). The lake is the site of the San Marcos Springs, a large artesian outflow of around 200 springs that emanate from the Edwards Aquifer along the Balcones Escarpment (Map 2).
