Un-typable Projectile Points

Often, projectile points cannot be confidently assigned to an established type because they either do not possess enough characteristic attributes or because of their fragmentary or incomplete condition. Although untypable, these specimens are still very important to understanding a site’s overall patterns of lithic technology. Untypable projectile points (UID) can represent stylistic elaboration, experimentation, varying skill levels and could perhaps one day be identified as a new type. Here is a selection of the more complete UID specimens.
